Is my data and YouTube channel safe?

Yes, absolutely. Loki Studio is designed with your safety in mind:

• Upload Only: The app only uploads videos when you explicitly click "Upload"
• No Deletions: Loki Studio cannot and will not delete any videos from your channel
• No Modifications: Existing videos on your channel are never touched or modified
• Local Processing: Transcription and thumbnail generation happen entirely on your computer
• Your Credentials: YouTube authentication is stored locally and never sent to any server
• Bring Your Own OAuth: For maximum security, you use your own YouTube API OAuth credentials

You remain in full control at all times.

What AI models are supported for metadata generation?

Loki Studio supports multiple AI providers:

Recommendation: Start with Ollama. It's free, private, and easy to set up.

Can I customize the AI writing style?

Yes! Loki Studio includes 37 AI personalities ranging from professional to casual, educational to entertaining. Each personality generates titles, descriptions, and tags in a unique style matched to different content types.

Does Loki Studio work on Mac or Linux?

Currently Windows only. Mac and Linux support is planned for a future release.

Do I need a GPU for transcription?

No, but a CUDA-capable NVIDIA GPU makes transcription 10-20x faster. Without a GPU, transcription uses your CPU and takes longer.

Note: AMD GPU support is planned but not currently available due to testing hardware limitations.

Which Whisper model should I use?

• large-v3-turbo: Best balance of quality and speed (recommended)
• large-v3: Highest accuracy, slower
• medium: Good quality, faster on older hardware
• small/base/tiny: For quick drafts or low-resource systems

Can it transcribe multiple languages?

Yes! Whisper supports 99+ languages. Set your language in the Transcribe tab or use "auto" detection.

What thumbnail features are available?

• Frame Extraction: Grab any frame from your video
• Logo Overlay: Add your channel logo with positioning control
• Flair/Badges: Add eye-catching overlays and badges
• Text Overlays: Custom text with fonts, colors, and effects
• Templates: Save and reuse your thumbnail designs

What image formats are supported?

PNG, JPG, and WebP for logos and overlays. Thumbnails are exported as high-quality JPG (1280x720) for YouTube.

Can I schedule uploads?

Yes! In the Upload tab, set your desired publish date and time. Videos will be uploaded as "Scheduled" and go live automatically.

Does it upload thumbnails automatically?

Yes. If a thumbnail exists for a video (generated in the Thumbnail tab or manually added), it uploads alongside your video automatically.

Can I upload to multiple channels?

Currently, one channel at a time. Switch accounts in Application Settings to upload to different channels.

What are Video Profiles?

Think of a Video Profile as a smart playlist on steroids. At its core, it's a way to group related videos together - but it does so much more:

• All Settings in One Place: Each profile stores your AI personality, thumbnail style, tags, description templates, and upload preferences
• Organized Video Library: All videos of a specific type (gaming series, tutorials, vlogs) live together in one logical location
• Upload Scheduling: Tracks when your last upload was and calculates your next scheduled release automatically
• Series Continuity: Maintains episode numbering, consistent branding, and series-specific keywords

For example, a "Minecraft Let's Play" profile would remember your gaming thumbnail style, your casual AI personality, your Minecraft-specific tags, your upload schedule (every Tuesday at 9am), and which episode you're on - all automatically.

What's in the Power User tab?

The Power User tab contains advanced settings for experienced creators:

• YouTube Defaults: Default video category, license type, privacy, comment settings
• Video Processing: Auto-detect series from filenames, frame extraction preferences
• Caption Settings: Auto-upload captions with videos, default caption language
• Notifications: Upload completion alerts, processing notifications
• API Settings: Request timeouts, retry attempts, rate limiting preferences
• File Management: Auto-cleanup options, backup preferences

Most users won't need to change these - the defaults work great. But if you want fine-grained control, it's all there.
