The Story

I'm Craig Giannelli. I've spent 20 years building infrastructure systems that don't fail—from financial trading platforms to high-frequency analytics engines. I've been paged at 3 AM more times than I can count. I've seen $100K outages happen because monitoring tools said everything was "green" until it wasn't.

NordIQ AI, LLC is a scientific and technical consulting firm (NAICS 541690) specializing in custom AI solutions and infrastructure optimization. We combine deep research expertise with hands-on technical implementation to solve complex challenges that require both innovation and precision.

While our NordIQ Dashboard is our flagship out-of-the-box product—a predictive monitoring system that gives you 30-60 minutes advance warning before server failures—we also provide custom AI solutions tailored to your unique challenges. From predictive analytics to intelligent automation, we research, design, and build systems that solve your specific problems.

I partnered with Anthropic's Claude to solve a problem that never goes away.

The 3 AM pages. The weekend outages. The customers left frustrated by downtime. The constant firefighting. Reactive monitoring tells you when the building is already burning—you're just managing the damage at that point.

We wanted nights and weekends back. We wanted customers happy. We wanted downtime reduced to near-zero—or avoided entirely. That requires shifting from reactive alerts to proactive prediction. AI that sees problems 30-60 minutes before they happen. Intelligence that gives you time to act, not just time to panic.

But this isn't just AI magic. It's 20 years of domain expertise crystallized into algorithms that understand infrastructure the way an SRE does. It's contextual intelligence, not binary thresholds. It's profile-aware risk scoring, not one-size-fits-all alerts.

The Saturday Ritual

5:00 AM - Coffee & Context

I brew coffee, boot up VS Code, and spend a moment catching Claude back up. Since Claude Code has no memory between sessions, we've developed a protocol: end each day with a deliberate handoff.

I maintain what we call our "RAG document"—really just session context—where we capture where we left off, what we're thinking, and what comes next. Claude reads it like a brief before a sprint.

The Codex of Truth

Context alone isn't enough. Projects drift. So we keep a "Codex of Truth"—a living document of rules, constraints, and decisions.

When we hit a feature freeze, the Codex keeps us both honest. Instead of scope creep, we document ideas and chart the roadmap. Adding explainable AI to the dashboard? That was a late addition, after we lifted the freeze, because we'd already committed it to the roadmap together.

11:00 AM - Shipped

By 11 AM, we've shipped: cleaned-up codebase, updated documentation, rebuilt features. That's not humanly possible alone. That's also not possible if Claude's flying blind between sessions.

The real magic isn't Claude; it's the dialogue. We keep each other accountable. We catch each other's mistakes. When I forget to wrap a session properly, Claude explores the codebase, finds the gaps, and stitches everything back together. That's partnership.
