Welcome to Loki Studio ("we," "our," or "us"). Loki Studio is a desktop application that helps YouTube content creators automate their video production workflow, including transcription, metadata generation, thumbnail creation, and video uploading.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Loki Studio. By using our application, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you use Loki Studio, you may provide:

Video Files:Videos you choose to process through the application
Configuration Data:Settings, preferences, and profile/content configurations you create
Custom Text:Titles, descriptions, tags, and other metadata you input
File Paths:Local directory paths where your videos and assets are stored

1.2 Information Collected Through YouTube API

When you authorize Loki Studio to access your YouTube channel, we collect:

Channel ID, name, thumbnail URL, and associated email address
OAuth authentication tokens (access tokens, refresh tokens, expiration timestamps)

1.3 Automatically Generated Data

Loki Studio generates the following dataLocally on your computer:

AI-generated transcriptions of your video audio
AI-generated titles, descriptions, and tags
Generated thumbnail images with overlays
Application activity logs for debugging
Upload history and processing status

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to:

Transcribe video audio using AI models
Generate SEO-optimized titles, descriptions, and tags
Create custom thumbnails with logos and overlays
Upload videos to your authorized YouTube channel(s)
Manage playlists and schedule uploads
Diagnose and fix application issues

We do NOT:

Collect analytics or usage statistics
Track your behavior or viewing habits
Share your data with third parties
Use your data for marketing or advertising
Store your videos on our servers
Access your data without your explicit action

3. Data Storage and Security

All Data is Stored Locally on Your Computer

We do not operate servers that store your:Videos, transcripts, metadata, thumbnails, configuration files, or OAuth tokens. Everything stays on your machine.

Security Measures

OAuth 2.0 Authentication:Industry-standard secure authentication with Google

No Cloud Transmission:Videos and personal data never leave your computer (except to YouTube when you upload)
No Third-Party Access:We do not share tokens or data with any third parties
User-Controlled Access:You can revoke access at any time

4. Third-Party Services

Google YouTube API

Loki Studio uses theYouTube Data API v3To upload videos to your channel, create and manage playlists, and retrieve channel information.

Google's use of information received from YouTube APIs will adhere toGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

OpenAI API (Optional)

If you configure Loki Studio to use OpenAI for metadata generation:

What's Sent:Video transcripts (text only, not video files)
What's Received:Generated titles, descriptions, and tags
OpenAI's Policy:Subject toOpenAI's Privacy Policy
Your Control:You can use local AI models instead (LM Studio)

Local AI Models Alternative

You can useLM StudioOr other local AI models for complete offline privacy. No data leaves your device when using local models.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

View Data:All data is stored in plain text/JSON files you can view
Export Data:Copy files from your computer at any time
Delete Data:Delete files, tokens, or the entire application
Modify Data:Edit configuration files and generated metadata

Revoke Access to Your YouTube Channel

You can revoke access at any time using these methods:

Method 1: Within Loki Studio

Open Upload tab → Select your channel → Click "Remove" button

Method 2: Google Account

Go toGoogle Account Permissions→ Find "Loki Studio" → Click "Remove Access"

Method 3: Delete Token Files

Navigate to YT_Utils/yt_tokens/ → Delete token files manually

6. Data Retention

We Don't Keep Your Data. You Do

All data is stored on your computer and remains there until you delete it. We have no servers, no cloud storage, no remote backups of your content.

To Completely Remove All Data:

Uninstall Loki Studio
Delete the application folder (contains all configuration and tokens)
Delete your video directories (if desired)
Revoke access in Google Account (optional but recommended)

7. International Users

Loki Studio is a desktop application that runs entirely on your local computer. Data isNot transferred internationallyBecause we do not operate servers.

Exception:When you upload to YouTube, data is sent to Google's servers, which may be located in various countries. This is subject toGoogle's Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Loki Studio isNot intended for use by children under 13 years of age.We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.
